The job
As a Naval Electrical Engineer at Rohde Nielsen, you will be responsible for reviewing, amending, and approving electrical drawings and solutions for the fleet. You will ensure that all electrical systems meet the highest industry standards, supporting newbuilding projects and optimising existing vessels. Your role will involve close collaboration with internal teams, external consultants, shipyards, and suppliers to develop innovative and efficient electrical solutions. Additionally, you will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with maritime electrical regulations.
Professional qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in electrical system design for marine vessels, including newbuildings and retrofits.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, and automation.
- Knowledge of classification society rules and international maritime electrical regulations.
- Knowledge of PLC and commissioning
- Proficiency in electrical design software.
- Willingness to travel for project oversight and vessel inspections when required.
- Strong communication skills in English, verbally as well as in writing.
- Permission to work in Denmark
