Frederikshavn Port, Land Reclamation
Increasing navigation depth and facilitating quality fill
Under this project a total volume of 3,000,000 cubic metres of clay and sand were dredged to increase the navigation depth to generally 12 m CD and 11 m CD. In the berth pocket along the quays all was pumped into a 360,000 square metres land reclamation. An extra volume of 220,000 cubic metres were supplied from an off shore area to facilitate requirements for quality fill behind the quay construction.
