Dredging, Rainbowing and Bottom-dumping on the Gold Coast
The Gold Coast Coastal Protection Project comprised dredging of sand from offshore winning areas and the placement by rainbowing and bottom-dumping with split hull function over 14 km along the beaches of the Gold Coast.
The project required considerable hydrographic survey, and significant stakeholder interaction, due to high public visibility and extensive media interest.
