Sand mining & pumping for reclamation and stock piling
In 2018, Rohde Nielsen was awarded a contract by the client “Sri Lanka Land Reclamation & Development Corporation” which included sand mining & pumping for reclamation, and stock piling.
The contract and job was split in two parts:
- Pumping and stock piling of 2,500,000 m3 of sand for construction purposes.
- Reclaiming of 65 ha of swampy land by pumping 1,500,000 m3 of sand.
- Location: Kerawalapitiya, Sri Lanka
- Scope: 3,450,000 m3
