Rock beds for jack-up vessels in Port of Esbjerg
Rohde Nielsen cleaned existing rock beds of 24,000 m3 of sand that had siltated over the existing rock beds immediately next to a quay wall. The dredged sand was cleaned from rock by passing the dredged soil through large sieves before dumping the soil on approved dumping grounds.
Subsequently, Rohde Nielsen installed 10,000 t of Norweigian granite 45-180mm to expand the rock beds to allow for larger jack-up vessels to utilize the the rock beds.
