Increasing navigation depth and facilitating quality fill

In the course of the expansion of Rønne Harbor, 15 hectares of hinterland, 600 meters of quay, 1,150 meters of mole and a new harbor basin with a depth of 11 meters was built. Rohde Nielsen was assigned a contract which involved dredging and delivery of sand to the hinterland. Afterwards the quantities from the dredging was sailed on the folding site, which was approx. 2.5 km west of Rønne.

There was also made a small beach nourishment off Galløkken of approx. 20,000 m3.
